REFUGEE NEWS
Speak out in favor of Senate Bill 264
If passed, Senate Bill 264 would ensure that refugees and other similar groups of immigrants who were resettled in Georgia for humanitarian reasons are eligible for in-state tuition rates at all Georgia public colleges and universities. This is a win for the refugee students whose formal education had been disrupted by conflict, a win for Georgia universities, and a long-term win for our state’s economy.
We are incredibly grateful to all of our supporters…
VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT: “Neelu is pivotal in helping our regular Wellness Group program at RWN be a success every month!”
“I have worked in Finance in Corporate America, for over 30 years. Recently, I made a significant life decision to take a break from the corporate world. Instead of stepping back entirely, I am actively contributing to the community through volunteer work. My commitment extends to various organizations, including a non-profit telehealth provider, RWN, neighborhood associations and my son's school.
My passion lies in dedicating my time and professional expertise to make a positive impact. This transition reflects not only a desire for personal fulfillment but also a genuine commitment to better our community.”
