Refugee Women’s Network (RWN) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant women and families across Metro Atlanta. Through culturally responsive programs in wellness, education, economic empowerment, and leadership development, RWN supports communities in achieving long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Position Overview

RWN is seeking a Communications and Development Manager to help strengthen and grow our fundraising and storytelling efforts during an exciting period of program expansion.

This is a high-impact, flexible role ideal for a consultant or experienced professional who enjoys both strategy and execution. The person in this role will help elevate RWN’s visibility, deepen donor engagement, and support the development of sustainable funding streams that directly expand programs serving refugee and immigrant communities.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic thinker, and relationship-builder who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small, mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Fundraising

  • Support the development and implementation of fundraising strategies

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors

  • Write and manage grant proposals and reports in collaboration with program staff

  • Maintain and manage donor database (Bloomerang) and track contributions

  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and events

  • Support Executive Director and RWN Board in donor engagement efforts

Communications & Marketing

  • Lead and coordinate RWN’s communications efforts across platforms

  • Develop content for newsletters, website, social media, and reports

  • Support brand consistency and organizational messaging

  • Manage digital communications, including email campaigns and social media

  • Assist with storytelling, media outreach, and community engagement

  • Ensure messaging reflects the voices and experiences of the communities served

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with program staff to gather stories, data, and impact outcomes

  • Support board engagement and outreach efforts

  • Coordinate with external vendors (designers, consultants) as needed

  • Track and report on communications and fundraising activities

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, nonprofit management, or related field

  • 3–5+ years of experience in communications, development, or related roles

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

  • Experience with fundraising, grant writing, or donor engagement

  • Familiarity with social media and digital communications platforms

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with refugee, immigrant, or multicultural communities

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Apricot)

  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or events

  • Knowledge of the Metro Atlanta nonprofit landscape
